  • Where is Conway Hall?

    Conway Hall is at 25, Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL. The nearest tube is Holborn. For information about bus routes, please visit the Conway Hall website.

  • When is it?

    Friday 20 October 2017, 9am, for a prompt 10pm start, to 4pm.

  • How much does it cost?

    Tickets are available to buy now. Prices start from £95. Book your place on Ticket Tailor.

  • Is the venue accessible?

    There is a street level entrance to Conway Hall on Red Lion Square. The main hall is on this level and there is a disabled toilet. The balcony seating area is not accessible but there’s plenty of room for those with access needs in the main hall. Please let us know if you have particular needs. For those with hearing impairment, there is an induction loop in the main hall.

  • Will lunch be included?

    No, unfortunately it won’t be as the venue doesn’t accommodate this. But there are lots of great places to eat near the central London location.

  • Is there internet access?

    Yes, and we encourage tweeting in the run up to and on the day!  But if you just want to have a day offline, and just take in what you’re hearing, that’s fine too.

  • What is the hashtag for the event?

    The hashtag for the day is #BeingtheStory. Do join the conversation online and share your takeaways, photos and videos from the day. If you can’t make the day, follow the hashtag for highlights. Get in touch to find out more about accessing a live event feed.

  • Who should attend?

    This is a day for people working in the charity sector, or associated with it. Attendees will be interested in the power of storytelling and the impact it can have to raise awareness, call to action, recruit volunteers, engage supporters and generate funds.

    The day will be useful for:

    • Communications, digital, campaign and marketing staff
    • Fundraisers
    • “Service users” and expert citizens
    • Funders
    • People who want to develop the confidence to share their own personal story
