Empathy Young People

Anne-Marie is passionate about improving support for children, teenagers and young adults who have experienced significant adversity. Her work is underpinned by a belief in the power of peer led services, and a positive, nurturing, and person-centred approach.

With a background in statutory and voluntary services for children and teenagers deemed ‘at risk’ in Yorkshire, she went on to work nationally supporting youth justice, social care and health agencies to involve young people meaningfully in the design, delivery and evaluation of support services.

She is the founder and CEO of social justice charity Peer Power, an empathy led charity developed with children, teenagers and young adults which aims to heal childhood trauma and adversity through caring relationships, system change involvement, employment and peer support.
